1. What we collect

1-1. What the tools do not collect

Everything you enter in the editors is stored only in your browser (localStorage). We can neither read nor retrieve it.

1-2. Data you send through the contact form

• Your name (optional)
• Your e-mail address (needed only if you want a reply)
• The subject and the body of your message
• The time of sending, and data used to prevent abuse (IP address, browser type)

1-3. Data recorded automatically when you visit

• IP address, user agent, referrer and access time (hosting provider's access log)

2. Why we use it

• To answer your enquiry and keep a record of it
• To provide and maintain the Site and to investigate faults
• To prevent unauthorised access and form abuse (security)
• To serve and display advertising — only with your consent
• To comply with legal obligations

We do not use the data for any other purpose. We never build mailing lists, sell data, or pass it to third parties for their own marketing.

Legal bases (GDPR Art. 6): answering your enquiry and keeping the Site secure rely on our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)); advertising cookies rely on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) together with the ePrivacy rules; complying with the law relies on Art. 6(1)(c).

3. Service providers and recipients

We use the following providers to run the Site. Each handles data under its own privacy policy.

3-1. International transfers

As shown above, data is transferred outside Japan, mainly to the United States and the EU. For personal data of users in the EU/EEA and the UK, these providers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the Standard Contractual Clauses. See:

4. Cookie table

These are the cookies and browser storage the Site uses. Nothing outside the “Necessary” category is loaded until you consent. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time from Cookie settings in the footer.

4-1. Traffic measurement

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how often each page is viewed. It uses no cookies and stores nothing on your device.

• What is measured: the URL of the page viewed, the referrer, the type of browser and operating system, an approximate region, and the screen size
• It contains nothing that identifies you, and no identifier is issued to follow you
• It does not track you across other websites
• Because nothing is stored on your device, this measurement does not require consent. Turning the “Analytics” category off in the cookie banner changes nothing, since no cookie is used in the first place

We use no other analytics tool (such as Google Analytics). If one is introduced, this policy and the consent screen will be updated first and your consent asked again.

The support buttons do not embed any payment script. Pressing one takes you to Stripe, where Stripe's own cookie policy applies.

5. Consent and withdrawal (all users, including the EU/EEA and the UK)

• A consent banner appears on your first visit. No optional script is loaded until you press “Accept” (opt-in).
• You choose category by category. Necessary items stay on because the Site cannot work without them.
• Your choice (version, time, categories) is recorded in your browser and you can inspect it yourself under Cookie settings.
• When you withdraw consent, the relevant cookies are deleted and the page is reloaded so that scripts already loaded stop running.
• Consent lasts 180 days. After that, or whenever this policy changes materially, we ask again.

You may exercise the following rights over your personal data (GDPR Articles 15–22, and the equivalent rights under Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information):

• Access, rectification and erasure
• Restriction of processing, and objection to processing
• Data portability (a machine-readable copy)
• Withdrawal of consent at any time (this does not affect processing carried out before the withdrawal)
• Objection to profiling
• Lodging a complaint with a supervisory authority (your national data protection authority in the EU/EEA, the ICO in the UK, or the Personal Information Protection Commission in Japan)

Write to the address in section 10. After verifying your identity we respond within 30 days.

8. Security

• The whole site is served over HTTPS; HTTP requests are redirected and HSTS is enabled.
• Security headers, including a Content Security Policy, restrict where scripts may be loaded from.
• The contact form validates input, escapes output, checks the request origin, limits the sending rate and uses bot protection.
• Data we receive is handled only from administrator accounts protected by two-factor authentication.

9. Children

This is a professional engineering tool and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their personal data.
